My favorite 1911
 

At this point it is my RIA FS/GI,hopfully oneday a LONGSLIDE like a few I've seen in this forum.Try to post pics.

The RIA GI Model is a no frills workhorse that will serve you well.

The RIA Longslides are very nice and when you get one you will be pleased with it. I am not sure when production will pick up on them as they are trying to get caught up on the standard production line of 1911 pistols.

RIA are very good guns and they are a good place to start with 1911's.

Be careful though as they can be addicting. :D

nice pistol Merk :-). I have a RIA GI and it's a great pistol! I'll take a basic GI design anyday over a fancied up 1911 with all the bells and whitles on it
