My apologies for posting my pics in this section. I was notified by a helpful forum member that this was a PRIVATE sub forum for a particular holster maker. I guess I was supposed to know that somehow. I just saw a thread that said leather holsters picture gallery. It won't happen again.

Dont take it the wrong way Anchor44, under the craftmens section is just a place for the individual craftmen to show off his work, and answer questions about his or her craft. You also got to remember thats just the way i have my sub forum set up.
Hope theres no hard feelings.

Dang, they all look awesome! Glad to see you back on!

That's some good looking stuff. I've been waiting on a holster for 2.5" Model 66 for quite some time from another holster maker that someone recommend. I ordered a pancake in ring lizard and croc skin that has been in the making for longer than I would have expected. I may be coming to you for the next one. Especially if the quality doesn't match up to the wait time.

jmlutz 07-23-2011 05:10 PM

I was given one of your holsters as a gift, I think it's great! Thank you for the excellent workmanship, you did a very good job:) Mike

Well, sorry that is happening to ya bro, as i dont work in exotic skins like the other guy, i will do my best to make something you'd be proud of , on your next holster choice .

Looks Great Rock, did you try to make the adjustable riflr stock bullet t holder yet?

Clyde

Olympus 07-23-2011 06:57 PM

I think you should experiment with exotics. Especially as an accent area like the reinforcement piece on your holsters.

I started trying to teach myself leatherwork and holster making and quickly found it's not nearly as easy as it looked to me. I have a new appreciation for leatherworkers.

I miss understood you, i have done some work with just accent pieces with exotic, i just havent been able to pull it off, covering the entire holster, i have done the reinforcement areas in sidewinder and praire rattle snake.
Im actually waiting for a copperhead skin from the guy hunted hogs on in texas, so that might be a cool skin to work with.
