My new pistol rack
Ok, first off, it's not done and second, I didn't build it. I gave my neighbor the drawings and dimensions and he built it today.
I was tired of seeing my guns looking like this in my safe: http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/...psef0f51b6.jpg Based on some racks I"d seen on the web, I drew up plans for this: http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6fc6a3f7.jpg http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/...psb84f8e58.jpg Why 2 pieces you ask? Well, my safe is 16" wide with 1" jambs. So without having to remove the top shelf to slip the stand in, we split it into 2, so that I can still access the revolver in the back. I still have to stain/paint and put the felt on. But you get the idea. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/...psec631547.jpg http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/...ps74e93749.jpg http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/...psbb3583e2.jpg http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/...psfc3a5cb1.jpg What's that empty slot on the far left for? Oh, that's for Mr. Baer when he comes in........:D Yes, I just noticed the hammer being cocked on the Kimber without the safety engaged, no round is in the chamber. I fixed it, I just didn't want to take new pics. Thanks for looking. |
nice. You keep guns without rounds in the chamber?
