First range trip with CCO
1 Attachment(s)
I ran about 150 rds of 230 FMJ thru her this morning with several targets ... this target has a few clips forced thru it. My wife sprinkled in quite a few 9mm also, as you can see.
A little low, little left, but I'll take it for the first trip. |
Thanks for the report Matt. :)
Good not to read of any failures. Keep up the good shooting. :target: Greg |
I did not mention one failure, only because my wife was shooting the CCO at the time ... which was her very first time with the 1911 platform, so I'm not going to count that one.
I really like the CCO, but it seemed to consistantly shoot low and left, I'm not sure if it was me or the gun ... I guess I will find out after a further break-in period ?! Has anyone else had an issue like this ? |
Matt, most right handed shooters will shoot low left.
Two things can cause this. 1) pushing the shot (anticipating recoil) 2) to much or to little trigger finger. Check out the target and the explanations. http://www.armed2defend.com/images/A...d%20Target.pdf Greg |
Yes, I'm familiar with that and thank you for the link.
After further inspection, the rear sight shifted during my range session. The set screw was not tightened enough before the loctite was applied. It is corrected now but I have not had the opportunity to get back to the range, so we will see. Matt |
BTW ... it certainly could have been some of that operator failure. ;)

That would definitely cause some problems with amming........ That's just like trying to sight in your scope on your AR and finding the mount loose......:mad::mad: Greg |
