Any brothers in the Carolinas? Hope you are safe and dry.

Hi guys.

Just thinking about members in the Carolinas given the torrential rains in that area and the images shown in the news, so much flooding. Thinking of our COTEP brothers...

milkmanjoe, are you OK? How did your property hold up?

Agreed, prayers our for all involved.

My property is the crown of the neighborhood, eight feet above all neighbors so we never flood. However, being up high makes us vulnerable to wind. We lost considerable dirt in these rains(runoff), and the horse barn supports are not totally underground anymore, but all is fixable. I'll be driving back and forth the next two months, repairing one building at a time. I don't know how my lower elevation neighbors fared, nobody is answering texts.

I was keeping an eye on Joaquin, and totally missed all the rain and flooding up that way. Hope all is well with our members in that part of the country.

Glad to hear you and your family are safe and that your property isn't badly damaged. Hope your neighbors are ok and that the situation for them is not as desperate as for some with water up to their ceilings.
