This Memorial Day

I hope we all take time to reflect and remember what today is truly about and that is remembering and honoring those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for liberty and freedom.

God bless each and everyone of our fallen hero's.

AMEN brother!

Called my Dad this morning before he went to his memorial service.

Bonus, I just put ribs on the smoker and having our 94 year old Neighbor, A WWII vet over for supper tonight. His wife passed a few years back.

I'm a bit bemused, humbled and .... uncomfortable.... when someone says these two phrases:

"Thank you for your service".... Today, its not about my service. Its about those who gave their all for THEIR service. I'm not worthy of praise today.

The second is:
"Happy Memorial Day". I'm sorry, there is nothing really "happy" about it. Take a few minutes to remember those who have fallen protecting our way of life. But I'll never say something back.

For most Americans, male OR female.... alive today, have never served, nor do they understand the meaning of Decoration Day..... aka Memorial Day. For most, its a long weekend and a party. They can rest easy in their beds because strong men stand at the gates ready to do harm to those who would hurt them.

May God give peace to the families of those who have been lost to battle.
Amen

And this!^^^

Today I salute all service members, especially those go gave it all for our beautiful way of life, our precious freedoms. America is a beacon of liberty and freedom and there's no country in the world that doesn't aspire to be like us.

Thank you all who served, continue to serve, and especially those who are not around to receive this most important tribute

Very Powerful...

VERY POWERFUL.

The last Monday of this month is Memorial Day. For many of us, it's just a holiday we celebrate by getting the day off from work. For department stores, it's a day to have a sale so all the people getting the day off will come in and buy their goods. But, the truth is, it's a day we need set aside to remember the men and women that have fought and died so we can have the few freedoms we have left. They deserve so much more than just one day of remembrance, but let's give them at least that much.

Let's honor them this year by being thankful for what they gave for us.

This is a powerful story in history. Only a few Americans are alive now who lived in those times. I would guess that a lot of college students are not aware of these places, or how they happened. Sad commentary on History teachers.

Outstanding is a very mild word for this.

Our European arrogance in alphabetical order:

1. The American Cemetery at Aisne-Marne , France ... A total of 2289

2. The American Cemetery at Ardennes , Belgium ... A total of 5329

3. The American Cemetery at Brittany, France ... A total of 4410

4. Brookwood , England - American Cemetery ... A total of 468

5. Cambridge , England ... A total of 3812

6. Epinal , France - American Cemetery ... A total of 5525

7. Flanders Field , Belgium ... A total of 368

8. Florence , Italy ... A total of 4402

9. Henri-Chapelle , Belgium ... A total of 7992

10. Lorraine , France ... A total of 10,489

11. Luxembourg , Luxembourg ... A total of 5076

12. Meuse-Argonne... A total of 14246

13. Netherlands , Netherlands ... A total of 8301

14. Normandy , France ... A total of 9387

15. Oise-Aisne , France ... A total of 6012

16. Rhone , France ... A total of 861

17. Sicily , Italy ... A total of 7861

18. Somme , France ... A total of 1844

19. St. Mihiel , France ... A total of 4153

20. Suresnes , France ... A total of 1541

Apologize to no one.
Remind those of our sacrifice and don't confuse arrogance with leadership.
The count is 104,366 dead, brave Americans.

And we have to watch an American elected leader who apologizes to Europe and the Middle East that our country is "arrogant"!
HOW MANY FRENCH, DUTCH, ITALIANS, BELGIANS AND BRITS ARE BURIED ON
OUR SOIL... AFTER DEFENDING US AGAINST OUR ENEMIES?

WE DON'T ASK FOR PRAISE... BUT WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE!

Most of the protected don't understand it.
DO THINK ABOUT THIS.
THANK YOU.
