Panic

I just returned from South Carolina, drove back as the death toll rose in the Orlando night club massacre.

I watch some boards just for information, and am seeing ammo prices already up 10 to 15 percent overnight.

Be prepared to see ammo dry up again and firearms prices/availability change as the news adds to the storyline and politicians chime in.

ar's as well as parts to build had best be purchased immediately.

My response from the "building an AR" thread:

"Panic trumps supply and demand every time!"

Watch the prices go up fast.

I guess the trick is waiting for the appropriate "dip" between now, and the election in Nov. It's weird. I checked on the price of XM855 and it had gone down since the last time I bought some.

Now now... :(

No price increases at the local stores here in Jacksonville (yet) Talking to the manager, he is bracing for another rush..

I'm a bit ahead of the curve.... made a couple of purchases at PSA a few weeks ago. Glad I did it then!

Yup AR mags were $7 online for a while now, now it's up to 10 bucks a pop. It has began.

Four Walmarts today......zero .223 to be had

PSA mags were $7 for a while. I ordered a few to top off another order two weeks ago. All 5.56 mags are sold out except the 100 and 40 round size but those are the most expensive ones as well.

Forethought goes a long way. Sitting on 50 30rd P mags for the Tavor; 80 or more g17 mags, 30 hk91 mags. I haven't bought mags for over 4 years.

No different with ammo, sitting on dozens of cases of 223 [ one large ammo can of loose 223 has 8K rds in it ], 8 cases of 308, 25K in 9mm, 14K in 45acp, 15K in 22lr etc.

Forethought, act, nor react and be found lacking when panic sets in.

I got back into shooting right about the same time as Sandy Hook. I learned my lesson and have put back a decent amount of my necessary rounds over the past three years. Nothing like Robin (Hood) Brown :D ... but enough for my modest needs.
