Very suspicions. What kind of dam fireworks blows your foot off? Fireworks primarily burn you. ..

Well, I have seen M-80's blow peoples' hands off, if they hold onto them too long... but what bugs me about this is that it detonated once he "stepped" on it. Fireworks usually *don't* do that... :rolleyes:

Let me make sure I understand this properly.

Somebody created an explosive device powerful enough to sever an ankle. This device was designed to be detonated not by a fuse, but by physical contact. This device was "accidentally" left in Central Park?

It sure appears to be an IED to me.
