G & A's 2016 "Best States for Gun Owners" list
The list is out in print with the September edition of "Guns & Ammo". It will be posted on their website in due time.
Here are some highlights - #1 - As always, Arizona, unchanged. #51 thru 44 remain unchanged from 2015 (DC, NY, NJ, Mass, HI, CF, CT, MD in that order) FL - dropped from 12 to 13 (lack of a "shall sign" law for NFA items - but ranked #9 for CCW). VT dropped from 2 to 20 (WOW!) PA dropped from 20 to 33 (Concerns re: the east and west cities and the antics of the AG). LA dropped from 17 to 27 (you were right!) TX rose from 15 to 8 (I assume due to Open Carry and campus carry) IL rose from 43 to 40 KS - rose from 8 to 2 As soon as the link goes up on-line, I'll add it to the thread. |
We'd have open carry and campus carry if it weren't for my Sheriff, Sadie Darnell, and one "Republican" senator (read Cuban cesspool yankee asswipe). NRA has endorsed the Democrat running for Sheriff in my county. I shall vote for him, as I already got in an email cussfight with Miss Darnell

12 or 13 is still pretty good.
Shall sign rules should no longer be considered, 41F eliminated the need for CLEO sign off. Open carry will happen eventually, I'm not too sure about campus carry. Having a daughter in college, I think it would be nice. OTOH, I've met some of her classmates, and some of them fall into the "should never be entrusted to handle a firearm." category. |
Got my issue this morning, looked up Tennessee.... being from Connecticut, I was ecstatic about moving here... only to find that my new home is only "in the middle"..... at number 23. But 10,000 percent better than Connecticut!
