what are the hoops for importing a rifle?
I have a mate that can get me one of these cheap. *I can see the bayonet lug will have to go along with adding a muzzle brake pinned and welded.

for what it is worth this is the semi auto only version, ie the swiss civilian version. Never was capable of full auto

Grouse, the problem will be the receiver. If SIG used the same receiver for both the SA civie model and the FA military, it's unimportable. ATFEs' favorite song," Once a Machinegun, always a machinegun." Doesn't really matter if SIG made it Semi-only, if they used the same receiver, the ATFE will state it's easily convertable.
An option would be to see if anybody makes an American receiver in Semi-Auto and buying a 'kit' to build one with. |
