Can I get a "HELL YEAH!" ???

I guess a plug for Dunkin' is in order...

I have been buying coffee at Dunkin' for some time now. If you buy three bags, you get it for about $6 a pound (and their bags are honest one pound bags instead of the 12 oz bags you normally get at the supermarket)

Their coffee is much better than Starbucks...and they don't need ten dozen different varieties, their plain coffee is good enough by itself.

^^^ Yep, I buy their beans and grind my own.

They opened a DD in Walnut Creek, about 5-10 miles from me. Took my son there awhile back, left without buying anything. They wanted $1.75 per donut and they weren't much bigger than a silver dollar.

I'll stick to my mom & pop donut shop which is appropriately named "The best little donut house in town". It's owned by a Laotian or Vietnamese couple. Great people, always give me extra donut holes or donuts. :D

They make a ham & cheese croissant that is not only HUMONGOUS, but tasty. It overlaps a 10" paper plate they serve it on.

In California, a DD is $1.75 per donut? .... Geez
Around here they're less than $1.00 and much bigger than a silver dollar.

With a life on the road in New England, NY and PA as a serious caffeine freak coupled with trips from Florida to Maine and back every spring and fall for the past 16 years I know every Dunkin Donuts personally for coffee and never drive by one unless my cup holder is already full. The donuts not so much. The best donuts on the planet in my experience are sold daily at the Sunday River Brew House on the Sunday River Ski Area access road in Bethel, Maine. Lunch and beers $30.00, Donuts to go $45.00 :D and worth every penny. I put one of the Chocolate Éclairs on the scale..... it weighed 3 and a half pounds and was the size of my size 12 hand. Oh, they taste like heaven.... Note to Bad Oscar..... they are worth the drive. Hell they are worth the drive for Ellison! Ell bring your tank..we will clean them out and kidnap the donut maker. The beer is pretty good also. If you only buy one bag full it will not be enough. NO :bs: Dennis ...ps ....Also the Holy Donut on Park Ave. in Portland, Maine make 16 varieties of donuts all with Potato Flour. Get there early as they open at 6am and sell out for the day by 8 - 9am most days. The donuts are not as out of the world as those in Bethel but Penny and I bought a mixed dozen, I said no great big deal...but they were all gone in an hour and a half...... Life is good in Maine.....
