new .44!
put this on layaway a while back and was able to pick it up this afternoon.
it's a Smith model 28-2 that has be re-chambered/barreled to 44spl. buttery smooth action, almost non existent BC gap and aside from a small spot underneath the cylinder release and at the end of the muzzle the gun is spotless. http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/...pswrmo9beq.jpg http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/...psgwjqrsgu.jpg after cleaning it I ran about 36 Skeeter loads through it to see what it would do. this was the last group fired at 25 yards. five shots measured .900 center to center with the flyer opening the group to two inches. it has potential.:D http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/...pshjh1yjis.jpg |
Feel lucky punk?!

That reminds me of my Dad's old S&W Highway Patrolman. Shorter barrel and chambered in .357Mag. But just the way it looks brings back a lot of memories. The grips, angles and the blueing are all spot on. That's a beauty! Thanks for the share!
