Some are interpreting his ruling as applying *only* to the recent change (to shift burden of proof onto the prosecution), and not to the remainder of the law. And there's also a question of whether or not it applies only to his jurisdiction or elsewhere. But I'm sure the other liberal judges will follow suit. We'll have to see. The AG"s office is already going to appeal, and it will go all the way up to the FL Supreme Court. We'll see what happens...

This is pretty confusing. I thought only the State Supreme Court could rule on the Constitutionality of a law. And that a Court can't make or change laws. :rolleyes: But the Fake News Media doesn't care as long as it fits their agenda.

The judge ruled that under Florida's constitution, that change should have been crafted by the Florida Supreme Court, not the Legislature.

"As a matter of constitutional separation of powers, that procedure cannot be legislatively modified," Hirsch wrote in a 14-page order.
