My email about Parkland

Today is an important day to get those emails and phone calls out. The House is coming off a recess and is sorting through responses and proposed bills. The narrative they quickly put together is falling apart. The “Town Hall” was supposed to launch the national campaign to disband the NRA and to get a ban on the 200 or so rifles with similar charistics as the AR15. That was “a start” and was the most blatant exposure of their true goal to repeal the second amendment.

However there were cracks in the narrative. Good people saw things and said things, and those who were supposed to protect us allowed it to happen by their in-action the same as the officers who cowered behind cars and let others try to save lives. They want to blame Trump and the NRA who had zero knowledge of Cruz and his actions while are defending the officers and department that directly had, reports, victims, incidents and relatives concerned he would do what he did, pleading for the department to act. They are desperately trying to save the Liberal Sheriff Israel who pushed the nerrative before the facts and is getting hammered. Today is our day to strike back and demand answers, not agendas.

I sent the following to all my federal and local representatives and Governor Scott today. I didn’t send it to Bill Nelson because it is a waste of time trying to get him to see any other opinion that isn’t approved by the DNC. Hopefully Scott will unseat him in the election.

Dear________

I felt the need to contact you with regards to the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentines Day. As a parent of a high school student I am deeply saddened by the loss that day. I don’t want that to ever happen again. As hard as it is to process the mass murder of innocent children, it is even harder once you realize it could have been avoided. There were so many contacts and so many good people who saw something disturbing and said something not just to friends and neighbors but to law enforcement and nothing happened. This tragedy could have never happened and 17 kids and teachers could be in school today debating the safety of a Tide Pod like any other day.

The failure is not where Sheriff Israel and the emotional “Town Hall” meeting that was nothing more than a venting of anger, sadness and emotion, say it is. The failure is not with me as an NRA member or my rifle that never hurt anyone and is locked up securely in my safe. They need someone to blame for the loss and it is easy for an agenda driven Sheriff to give them an outlet for that anger. However his agenda is crumbling as it comes to light his department and other organizations hold much more blame than the NRA or my rifle.

I am the NRA and I am happy my organization will support you and can count on your support to put blame where it belongs and fight for millions of law abiding citizens to defend themselves instead of being a scapegoat for an agenda.

I am a father, a constituent and a voter and am watching to see how my elected representatives are responding to this tragedy. I hope I can count on you.

FL Senate passed a bill out of committee to slow arming teachers. A couple anti 2A amendments were added but 4 big ones were not. Now to either strip the amendments or kill the whole bill.

In my opinion, Teachers are the last people in the world who should be armed. They have an unfair and unrealistic work load now. To be willing and able to stop a school shooter will likely require extensive training, practice, and mindset that the teachers should not be expected to do and have. Also, the idea of throwing them a little extra money to do this task is insulting. Frankly, if my grandchildren are in danger of being shot in school, I want well paid and trained mercenaries who will not have any moral issues with shooting anyone with a gun, including a twelve year old. Kind of on the lines of the Secret Service or FBI, when they protect our politicians. What we need are federally funded, trained and armed security. And, the money should not go through the local politicians and school board. Those monkeys have their fingers in enough pockets now. Just my two cents.
