I have no problem with any teachers/staff who seek to defend the kids in this manner and who train and stay drilled, sharp, and "at the ready." Sadly, I think their BOE's do have such a problem... :rolleyes: :facepalm:

They need to get rid of the Gun Free School Zone. It is apparent that it's not working. The shooters did not care. And us good guys leave our guns at home when having to go onto school grounds. I am lucky enough that my kid's school is only 5 min away by car. And sadly I have to go onto many school grounds with my job. So I plan those jobs in advance so that I can make sure I am unarmed when traveling onto the campus.

If you have a Florida CCW you can carry when picking up and dropping off as long as you don’t get out of the car. If you need to leave the car you can secure it in the car and enter the school. I don’t recall the specific statue but there was a pretty long thread on FCC a few years ago.
