Introduction of an old guy!

Well I am a new member, but I don't know any of the rules yet. Be that as it may. I love my Kimber .45 PRO CDP II custom. I have put over a 1000 rounds through it , my reloads, and only two ejection issues. I carry it for self defense and have had no problems with comfort. I am 74 and having a lot of fun shooting pistols. I have shot rifles since I was 8 years old. Now I am having a lot of fun taking combat pistol classes at our local police range. I was referred to COTEP by Lane Spiers of LASCO leather. He answers emails.

Retired IBM electronical engr. Retired Teacher of math. Reloader by necessity. Woodworker because I love it, and I build high end PCs in my spare time for my friends and family.

I always have a lot of questions about carry. I think my first question about carry after I got my CCW, was what do you in the public bathrooms. None of my CCW classes addressed that problem. I had no idea of the wardrobe changes that would be necessary. I now have 5 IWB holsters and two on order. I only wear one and it is the least expensive of them all. Well I am getting to long winded. So hope to talk to all of you at one time or another using a lot less words.

When you get old there is no problem remembering things, The problem is the time it takes to access them.

Welcome to the asylum. Sa for the other matter, you just do the best you can. A good stiff gun belt surely helps keep things where they belong. A good gun belt can be more important than the holster. Scott

Welcome and +1 to what Scott said. Good gun belt works wonders

Welcome to the forum. Are we talking #1 or #2? Or both?
#1 you just unzip your fly and whip it out without unbuckling. #2 you gotta unbuckle drop 1/4 of the way then fasten back the belt in the first loop. Pull down to your knees and pop a squat. Do I need to include pics? ;) again welcome in buddy.

I think we've got that part covered - he just ordered a holster and belt. So, in roughly 8-10 months he'll have a nice belt. :)
