My Remington 700
Finally got enough cash to finish up my rifle. Did a quick photo shoot with the phone so I could get them up here.
Its a Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD (total mouthful). Goodies are as follows. Nikon ProStaff 4-12 Matte BDC Scope. Blackhawk medium scope rings. EGW 15 MOA rail. Harris Bi-pod. Primary Weapons Systems PRC compensator. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...0profile-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...m700comp-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...s/Rem700rv.jpg Great so far. Got a 3/4" of an inch group at 100 with some crappy core-lock 150 grain. Going to run some Z-Max through it and see how tight it will get! |
BigAm'
Been thinking about the same long gun. Idea of the total $$ you have in it. Thanks for posting. |
Nice! Been thinking about the EGW 15 MOA, what is approx zero range adjustability for your scope (min & max)? Can you zero down to 200 yds and up to 1000 yds?

I'd have to say I have about 1080 into the whole rifle. I'm pretty decent and working deals locally haha.
Not 100% sure on the adjust-ability on the rail yet. I zeroed mine in at 100 yards and havent had a chance to play with the adjustment out farther yet. Thats kinda why I bought the BDC scope too. I don't like to fuss with the elevation much when I get it set personally. BUT I get the premiss. As far as what EGW says about it. I would figure you could set it to 200 and get it out to 1000. Just depends on how much your scope would adjust. The 20 MOA rail would do it for sure, but I think its ment more for 600 and up. The stock is just the houge stock that came with it! I was pretty pleased with the feel of it and look. I wanted to go with more of and M40 stock with a od green or foliage green camo on it to match local stuff, but the grey white and black looks awesome! When I get to go do some outdoor shooting with it I'll post more pics later. Thanks everyone! Im pretty proud of it so far haha. |
Nice looking rifle. What is the caliber?
