my foray into CAS
I am working hard to get my stuff in one small bag by 6 Oct so I can participate in my first CAS event. Here are two picsof my personal gear. More pics of other equipment will be added over the next few days.

Shotgun: The Stoeger is a model 31460 single trigger shotgun in 12ga, all blue with fixed chokes on 20” barrels, with complete GAA CAS Action work including honed chambers, beveled chamber mouths, safety set mod, spring tuning, break-lock relief, open position ext, and large .175 brass front bead . Revolver 1: An Uberti, SA revolver in 45LC. It is true to the Colt SAA with a half cock to load teh weapon and 3 dsitinct clicks when cocking the weapon.. Finishis matte black, fixed sights, and 4 3/4" barrel. Revolver 2: A Ruger New Vaquero in 45LC. Loading is accomplished by opening the loading gate rather than half cock in the Colt design It is SS and has a 5 1/2" barrell. That's the weapon run down. I'm on the lookout for a true Colt SAA at a price I can afford. Everyone should own at least 1 real Colt if you are in this game. Hat: Texas Hatters of Lockhart TX, formerly of Budda TX. A gift in 1996 from the Men of 1-4 Attk Bn upon my dparture. They must have beenn really happy to see me go. :) Thanks for asking! Mike |
nice set up...love all the black too!

Today's installment is my cart. It's commercially cut and I put it together. Not a perfect job but I did it. I chose to get itunfinished so I could match it to my ammo box purchased separately at less than half a cost of a box from the cart manufacturer. So here it is in several stages.
Here it is apart in various stages of finishing. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps412df3e5.jpg All finished, ready to assemble http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps246bd956.jpg And the finished and assembled cart. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/t...psd634ea75.jpg http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps699dec05.jpg Next installment will be the ammo box.
