Another Hello from Tidewater!
Hi,
I introduced myself a couple weeks ago, but here goes one more try with a pic. I'm a gray haired retired Navy guy from SE Virginia. Been here since '88 I guess. I'm a shooter rather than a collector, and with kids still in school don't have a lot of $$ left over for custom handguns. I have and currently carry a Citadel CS Officer's Model. Also own and shoot a couple of HK P7M8's, an AR, a Rem 700 Tactical, a Rem 870 reworked by Wilson Combat, and a Ruger 10/22. Have others that I don't shoot as much. I reload for all but the .22. Been shooting all my life, but it's been a long time since I shot a 1911 - since I retired in 1992 actually. But all the while I was thinking about the simplicity and elegance of the 1911. It just got to be time to find one. I'm very happy with the Citadel. It's tight, accurate, got lots of extras (skeletonized hammer/trigger, beavertail, crowned barrel), and reliable. It shoots better than I do. The only thing I've changed are the grips. I'll be polishing the feed ramp shortly. I'm here to learn, have fun, and hang out. Sorry for the blurry pic... couldn't find my tripod. Anyway, this is my EDC: Citadel CS with Hydra-Shocks and WC mag, Spydero Sage Carbon. http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8759d18f.jpg |
