Comp-Tac vs Crossbreed
|
I have a Crossbreed that I use for my USP and it as comfortable as you can expect for a big gun
|
I run a MTAC. Love it. Know plenty of guys that like both though. Either way I think you're solid.

I want something for a Commander. I one thing I've read about Crossbreed is that the gun tends to push up and out somewhat when seated. Has anyone experienced this? Of course the ability to to wear any size 1911 with it is appealing. I know I want a wide hybrid to comfortably carry my gun(s) but retention is important.

I have a crossbreed that I have used to carry my vbob now for about 6 months. It is by far the most comfortable holster I have owned to date and have nothing but good things to say. No issues with it pushing up retains well and allows for many different carry positions with adjustable retaining clips. Great product at a decent price IMHO.

I have two Crossbreed holsters, but the one I always wear for IWB carry is a Kholster.
They're far less expensive than Crossbreed, but so much more comfortable. Not a single part of the pistol touches my hide. One more thing: Quote:

M-Tac....have a few...need to try the newer version....but have the horsehide for G17, 1911 Champion, 1911 Govt......
Get horsehide, big difference pertaining to sweat. |
I got an Alien Gear and love it.... I can change the outer shell for different guns and it was $30 !!!!!

I prefer the Comptac because most if not all of their kydex shells cover the muzzle of the gun, whereas the Crossbreed tends to leave the muzzle exposed.
At least, that has been my observation. I don't like holsters that leave the muzzle exposed. |
