Our legislative session just ended and two good bills passed:

1: The Sentinal bill: allowing schools in SD to arm themselves. How awesome is that!

2: Not a huge one but changing the CCP from 4 to 5 years long. Both passed with pretty strong numbers too. A CCP is 10 bucks here and they just make sure your not nuts or a felon....then boom you have your permit in 5 days. So nice......

You didn't hear about the 3rd bill they passed???

Any and all law enforcement personnel that retire, will not only get a decent pension with benefits, but a weekly supply of donuts for life!!! :eek:

Ten bucks???? Wow, we gotta pay $100 for a 5 year license.

Very nice, +1 for South Dakota. Here in CA, our CCW's are "may issue," are only good for 2 years, in many of the metropolitan counties need a valid "good cause" statement, and many of them even have a restriction of "During the course and scope of business." Mine has no restrictions.

Washington State $32 to renew for 5 years. $52.50 for a new CPL. If you're a little late renewing it's $42. Where I got mine they laminated it for free.
