colt delta 10MM
Finally got my Colt to the range today. I wanted to give it a whirl and its a great great gun. I am glad I got it. The 10MM is a blast to shoot too, lots of pep in that little guy. My first target pictured wasn't the best took me about 30 rounds to get a feel for it and the sight picture but not bad. It was at only about 5 yards.
The fun part I used my chrony for the first time. NO I didn't shoot it but man that is a really cool toy. I enjoyed shooting loads through it and seeing the truth about my reloads. I have some work to do. My 45 loads got to about 700fps with a 200gr load...that can be better for sure. The 10MM I got to 1100fps. In comparison the factory Hornady of the same gr got to 1450fps so I have so work to do there too. the chrony is a fun little device, I will really enjoy using that. I used my little rest, put the chrony on a tripod and put a target behind it so I knew where I was going with my shot. Of the 50 or so shots I have 4 that were error readings but the rest I got accurate numbers. I am glad I finally got a chrony. Some guy at the range wanted to try the chrony, I told him if had $100 cash in his pocket I would let him try it in case he hit it...he didn't want to try it anymore. It was a good morning 45 degrees, no wind sunny and at the range what more could you want?! |
I know, I know I forgot to get a pic of my chrony set up....dummy me!

Must have been thinking about donuts.

Glad you finally got to shoot the hand cannon. I really like that 10mm.

The 10 is a blast and one of my favorites (Colt Delta, Colt Delta Ten Lew Horton, DW #x of 150, 2 S&Ws, G29, G20, Ruger single action Buckeye, S&W DA M610).
