Completion of Homework requirement

Ok I was asked in order to complete the requirements of my acceptance to post my favorite 1911 with pics a range report and a picture of me. I am going to try to accomplish all of this while attempting to introduce myself as well. My name is Rick Lujan and I am from Sunny Miami. I am an avid shooter Introduced to this sport by my dad. Back in 2005 I reacquainted myself with the 1911 after a long hiatus. I purchase a new Kimber (Mimber I know) Gold Combat. I have fired about 10,000 rounds thru this gun and have never had a FTF or any other problem (watch how is going to fail in my next trip). Since I have acquired 2 other 1911 a Colt Mod 70 repro and a Colt XSE LW Commander. I also have on order a Fusion Grand Sport in 40 S&W. Primarily because I wanted a Hi Cap. I am looking forward on getting this gun soon. I love my Mimber because it reintroduced me to the 1911 and because is the most accurate easy to shoot gun I own. I love my colts, but my Gold Combat is well put together and it handles very well. I am enclosing a picture of the Kimber.

I was also asked to add a range report. My last visit to the range was two thursdays ago. I try to go to the range thursday nights and an on the weekend work permitting. This first target represent a 28 round group of slow fire of my 230 grs reloads at 35 feet.

The second target is a 48 round group of rapid fire (not double taps) also at 35 feet and also using my reloads. As you will see the impact area is a little lower, but I do not believe I positioned the target right on the same spot.

I do not know if the groups are that good but I believe that the gun shoots way better than I do. Also my eye sight is not as good anymore.

The last request was to include a picture of me. But since It will deteriorate the thread I decided to add a picture with my lovely wife. The picture is of our trip to celebrate our 20 year anniversary on a trip to Europe the picture is in front of the Saint Peters Basilica.

Ok one last thing is not related to this homework assignment is that I posted in the 1991 forum about opinions regarding my next purchase. I am truly undecided and would like to hear the opinion from you guys as expert on the subject matter.

Ok I hope I can join this group of knowledgeable pistoleros.

Regards,

Rick
