1911 Vise Block
 
any of you's guys using one of these? I found it while looking for an AR15 vise block...it looks very handy...

I suppose an old magazine minus the spring and follower with some lead shot filling might work just as well and almost free. We used to do this with our M16's. You take an old 20rd mag, pull the follower and spring. Fill it with lead shot (or you can melt it and pour it in) to about an inch or two at the bottom. Now you have a vise block for a lower receiver.
