Stripping Her Down to the Frame
This is a link that "Hoss" gave me and I thought others may want to see it to. Its is very well done and you can go at your own pace, which makes it better than a video.
So for those brave souls (actually its pretty easy) here tiz: http://how-i-did-it.org/detail-1911/field_strip.html Have at it!!! Noel |
Very nice, clear and concise. I gotta print this. I've been wary of taking one apart for fear it'd be apart a long time.
Thanks, Jim |
Cool..I have manuals, and I gotta check out what Clyde sent me, but these pictures are BIG. Thanks
|
Chief has sent me two very good manuals. The level of detail in parts and names is excellent. :)
But this is designed to help you get it a part and back together spacifically. |
After a week and a half of basically no firearm access, I'll be trearing my 1911s down after I get home.
I plan to use the How I Did It documents. Grizz |
detail stripping is a sinch. :)
|
Yeah, it's not tough. But the diagrams make it a lot easier. :)
|
I took that "BIG STEP" last night and stripped mine, It was a lot easier then i thought, with the help of Clyde (moral support) and Dave Waits who made sure i had done the safety checks, and the link Noel posted made it less stressful.
