First annual COTEP L.R. Scoring

Okay, the first target has arrived;

Phil- Groupsize= 4-5/8"
Tony- Groupsize= 5-29/32"
Zane-Groupsize=8-13/16"

NOTE: All targets are measured with a calibrated Dial-Vernier, where possible, Decimals are converted to exact fractions to make size easier to understand. In the event of two identical groupsizes, the Vernier will come back out and size will go to the exact decimal.

Was that 4 5/8" or 4 5/8'? And who did he tear a ticket up for to get them to sign it?

Can a video count as a witness? I made a video, can get the guy(camera guy) to sign it, is all on film. Gonna post vid this week.

Oh boy......I screwed this up.....was at a self defense pistol class in Volusia last weekend....during break the instructor gave time for me to set up and shoot COTEP target........handed my video camera to a classmate, pulled out the target, pulled out laser rangefinder, promptly dropped a cardboard wedge as my line and shot. Trouble is we measured in a hurry, and all we saw was the top of the target where it says National Rifle Association B-16 Style 25 Yard Slow Fire Pistol Target......the key here is "25 yards"...so I shot a nearly 100 year old Colt, loaned by a friend, at 25 yards. Not known when the gun was fired last, I lubed it and shot it. Still has original wood grips from WWII. I will tell the story with my video later this week, but I shot the wrong distance in all the hurry/excitement.
So I am kaput...:facepalm2:....very sad...

Thanks pig for deflating my balloon with your accuracy...last thing I would want is to send in a cheater target.

What a botch job, eh?
Ahhh, I got to shoot the Colt, made two hits and had a great weekend.
Next time I'll ignore the target and print the thread.:)

Here is my shoot. Was at a Threat Focused shooting class up in Volusia, Florida. The instructor called a break and gave me the nod to do my shoot. Looking at the target which says "25 yard" I zoomed along, forgetting we were shooting at 50 yards. Anyways.....I will still send my target in on Monday along with my Forum contribution. Hope you all enjoy the vid, I am headed to my SC house for Thanksgiving and am going to shoot 50 yards out in the horse pasture to see how I might have done. Good luck to all of you who did it right!

Good shootin'

I'm not even sending my target in. I hit mine 2 of 5. We ret is do not work all night and then shoot for 2.5 to 3 hours and then try a shot at your target. Grizz can attest to this but my first shots out of my Sistema were an awesome grouping but they were on my challenge target.
