Meg Here
Hi all. Name is Meg. I'm a stay at home mom. Recently (beginning of Jan) got my FL CWP and have been carrying my M&P shield 40 wherever legal since then. This place was recommended to me so here I am.
DH is active duty USAF stationed at Hurlburt Field. Girl Child will be two at the end of March and we're expecting Boy Child to make his appearance at the beginning of April.
I was raised around guns and raised hunting. Until recently I never really thought of keeping a gun on my person for self defense. I'm still not sure what exactly clicked, but something did. I guess I realized that with Girl Child around and Boy Child on the way "I'll just run away" wasn't a viable option (was it ever?) and I couldn't pretend it was anymore. So I'm starting the process of learning to protect myself. Can't do much as far as shooting right now because my OB is worried about how the noise may affect the little one. I'm okay with that for the moment. My dad raised me to know how to safely handle a gun. Most of my training holes are on the defensive side. Right before Christmas I started taking Hapkido classes at a nearby martial arts school. After baby gets here I intend to continue with Hapkido and get serious about continuing my firearms training as money and time allow. :)
So...that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :) Hi.
