My Newest Danny Boy
Picked up the PTE-S today (DW #4) ... Only in America can you buy a firearm of this quality that was built 14 years ago and has been out of production for 8 or 9 years for $800! But I do have an issue with it. I am not a big fan of the two piece FLGR. Can anyone give me a good reason NOT to replace the FLGR with a normal GR and plug?
Yes Guys and Gals ... I have included pics. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...wm_6049491.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...wm_6049492.jpg |
A steal at the price.! Good find! How is its condition? Pics don't always tell the whole story....has it been shot much?
nice pick up.....I want some diry pics...
Sweet. I'd dump the two piece GR
Nicely done. It is nice see only a few of these old DW's getting the respect they deserve.
Nice pickup.....I would dump the two piece also....

Very nice, it may be older but I bet you can't wear it out. FLGR I have both no big deal to me. The only problem I have with them is they are a PIA! " IF it needed one, JMB would have put one in it"
It has obviously been shot ... but it does not appear to have been worked very hard. If I were to rate it I would give it a 94-95% The grips are excellent, there are two small blemishes at the rear of the slide (left side), trigger is very nice, crisp with no creep at all. Talk about a win/win ... the dealer got his asking price and I got a smoking good deal. I don't think the dealer really knew what he had, he wasn't very familiar with DW 1991s.

Nice....I am not a fan of FLGR's...I don't like the look of the "hole" in the front end. JMB designed it with a GI rod and plug for a reason.
