Greetings

I found this site a week or so ago as I was awaiting pickup of my new (to me) Dan Wesson CCO. It is a 2010 model that a local gentleman had put up for sale. Though it has a minor "id**t mark," it is in excellent shape and fits my hand beautifully! He also delivered it with a new set of Alumigrips (new on on me) that make this little .45 incredibly thin for carry. He also included the original wood grips. All of this for 20% less than the lowest price online (including delivery, taxes, and FFL), I love it! I will be going to the range tomorrow to run it through its paces and see how it shoots.

I have two other 1911's, both Caspian frame custom's that I am giving a serious Fluff-n-Buff; one is .45 Government and the other is in 38-Super. I have a local gunsmith who has taken me under his wing and is teaching me a little about smithing, both pistol and rifle. I have a couple of rifles I have built, a gorgeous Mauser in 25-06, an Interarms MiniMauser in .223 (haven't got a load that is worth a darn but the rifle is pretty) and my current project is a Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 in 6.5-284. All the rifles are in lovely wood that my father and I do together.

The 1911's are the most fun right now. They were built by the gun smith up to operational condition then he sold them to me and I have been a busy bee with the stones, sand paper, and buffing wheel getting them beautiful. I will post pic's later on the progress.

Beyond that I am a professional Fire Fighter (18-years) and also an academic--Mythology and Psychology. Basically I can tell you a wild story and what it means while performing CPR after I put the fire out :)

I would love to show some pics but I haven't figured out the upload widget. I will get some up as soon as I figure it out.
