Tell Us What You Did

For Memorial Day:

Saturday I went to 5 Cemetaries and put flags on all the Vets Graves and today I was a Member of the VFW Honor Guard for our town Paarade,

I sent messages to every alive Military person I know, former and retired Military, and families of not alive Military that I knew.
I leave for SC Wednesday night...Friday night cookout, thrown by and paid for by me, for Marines, is my way of celebrating our Military up in SC.

Down here in FL I wake up, pour a drink, go in the backyard and watch the sun rise as I give Thanks for another free day. Been doin' that for decades. There is not a big acknowledgement here in South Florida, it is an area considered transient. Most holidays are low key here compared to other areas, of Florida and of the Country.

First thing, I called my dad a veteran of Vet Nam. I always thank veterans every day I come across them so that is nothing different but usually I go home and help my dad put out the flags in our small town..but couldn't make it this year.

Took Kaden and the wifey for a bike ride pick nick by our vets park (we usually go to this park because is close and has great kids play things) but about the time we got finished eating and going off to play about 25 Ukrainians showed up with loud music and thing it was very disrespectful. They parked on the grass and didn't respect others, after we left I did call the police and watched the show from a distance. They made them leave, it was great. Why can't people just be nice?!

I love patriotic holidays! Should have one once a week!

well around these parts we have a bunch of Russians, Ukrainians, Polish, Yougos, and many other eastern european countries. After working with them by that I mean writing tickets to all these guys you can tell who is who but the language and how they treat you in return.

Got it....I'm a Pollak in case you need to give me heck!
Not worried, Pollaks are generally nice, unless we are drinking Spiritus and lime soda...whoa...then all bets are off!:D

I educated my neighbors about the Blue Star mom flag that I fly below the Stars and Stripes. (They thought I was from Texas. sheeez...)I now need to get a flag with two stars - daughter Air Force, and son-in-law Army

Please extend my thanks to both of them for their service.
