S&W M&P 22, it's an M&P...nuff' said! :D

Ruger 22/45, same grip as a 1911, great shooter, but do not own.

Ruger 10/22 Takedown, 'cause it's tacti-cool. Comes with it's own backpack style case.

S&W has some fine 22 revolvers, a little bit high priced but nice.

In a rifle look at the CZ and Ruger 10/22........

I have a K22 Smith and Wesson which has been used for decades to train revolver shooters. It is a bit heavy for my taste, but is a fine gun. I would not recommend it. I love my Colt Diamondback in 22. It is more fun and a great shooter, but it is out of production and pricey. My Walther P22 is a fun gun and more accurate then I am. I would recommend it highly. It is reasonably priced and you have the option of loading it up like a Star Wars blaster. (Laser, light, silencer, etc.) :D

I'll second the 10/22 Takedown. It's taken me a while, but I've got mine set up just the way I want it. I now have a peep sight with a fiber optic front, or I can pop the scope on it which has the elevation knob graduated out to 150 yards.

Or you could put a 22 conversion on a 1911 and have some pistol fun with a great trigger.

If I was buying into a .22 right now, I would buy the 10/22 Takedown. Lots of expansion options and it's a great bug out gun.

Pistol- m&p 22... Great full size 22 for a trainer or plinker, eats everything.

Rifle- 10/22 of whatever veriety.

PS: I have heard the new Ruger American is a goid bolt action for the money. Comes in 22 as well.

S&W 41, Sweetest 22 you will ever shoot.

I had a 10/22 and sold it. Great gun but in my heart I'm a handgun man. Any long guns I have are what you might call fighting arms. If I get another .22 down the road it will be a Ruger Mark III. Iconic pistol in it's own right with a grip angle that mimics a 1911. The options to trick them out are nearly as endless as the 1911 as well.

Pistol: Ruger 22/45 great pistols!
Rifle: Browning of some variety or a Henry lever...
