To the members of COTEP
 

I have read the other threads posted about the newer members.

First of all I would like to apologize if I did anything to offend any of the original members here. If I did so, it was purely unintentional, as I would never want to do anything that would upset any original member or harm this wonderful forum.

Secondly, and I think I can speak for most of the 'newer' members from that other site, the last thing I want is for this forum to be a "FLOTEP". Heck most of us left that other site because newer members there had been allowed to change it from something we no longer recognized, or wanted to be a part of anymore, and the last thing I want to do, is to be responsible for doing that same thing here.

This is COTEP, not FLOTEP, it always has been, and it always will be.

I guess what I would like, is to be removed as a COTEP member until I have earned that right. Label me whatever a "newbie" was labeled before and let me earn the respect of the original members here.

I would like to know what is expected of me, what I should post and not post, what I need to do to earn your respect, and what I need to do to earn the title of "COTEP Member".

Please give us a chance, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We are glad you'r here. I want all y'all to know that you are welcome. We are a pretty tight group but you have probably figured that out. We do not take membership lightly, the people that are invited are chosen because we feel you will be a positive addition to the forum. Thanks for coming over.

While the newer members on the "other list" certainly have contributed to it's current state, I think the change started when Norm sold the forum. It went from a privately run list, like COTEP, to the commercial forum it is today. All the original member/sponsors left and suddenly it has become a free-for-all! Instead of the warm, family feel it once had it has become nothing more than a source of revenue for the owner. Many of the original members have left in disgust. The moderators try their very best, but, sadly it will never go back to what it once was... Truly a shame :(
