Perry can mobilize the Texas State Guard if it comes to that. The State Guard was created in response to the federalization of the National Guard.

They cannot be federalized:

32 U.S. Code § 109 - Maintenance of other troops

Wife's job may plant us in Texas in two years...wouldn't hurt my feelings.

My mom was from a little sharecropper cotton farm, just outside of Tyler, I think.

Glad to see Gov. Perry take the initiative, but if we are going to get serious about protecting the "soft under-belly" of the United States from this invasion we are going to have to get serious about it like the Israelis have and construct a real border fence from Western California to East Texas similar to this ....


And you might say, "Well that's all well and good, but how do you propose to pay for something like this?"

My answer .... Divert the BILLIONS of American Tax Payer dollars of FOREIGN AID to the security of those American Tax Payers.

Fences are a deterrent, but you know they will build tunnels. Takes live manpower coupled with deterrents.
We do waste too much $$$$$ on foreign soil. And shrimp on treadmills.

How do you pay for it? How can we afford not to pay for it? Spend the money we spend on social welfare for the ILLEGAL ALIENS.
