Powder less 22LR

Please excuse my ignorance. What is powder less 22LR ammo? I went to the store the other day and found some Aguila 22LR. Looking at the box it said " contains no gun powder." Would somebody explain this to me?

I think they just work off the primer, I've no idea what they actually do.

they are not very good. I too purchased a box being my LGS had some. Performace was poor and and didn't target well. Pass unless your desperate!

I have lots of the good stuff. I was just looking. It's been so long since I have seen any on the shelf, I had to pick it up and fondle it.

As stated it has no powder, just uses the rim fire primer. Not positive but I believe it works best as subsonic in a suppressed pistol. I have a few boxes as well but have never fired any off.

Best used in revolvers, won't cycle the slide in many pistols.

Won't kill a Bufu Toad. Tried it at the house and it was useless for me.

But the toads explode pretty good when they get hit by a 45 :D

Aguila Super Colibri - I plink in the back yard with it sometimes. Not very accurate and won't cycle any auto I own. It's quieter than my air gun out of a 16" barrel.
