Pistol Reloading
Right now I only reload for my 2 Coopers, .204, .223
Do I need a progressive to do pistol ammo, or can I do just as well with the old Rock Chucker? |
I tell people that reload you can reload either way..... I use a Progressive Press, but I have been reloading for well over 20 years........

You do not need a progressive press. You could pick up a new or used three die set (I see a set of RCBS 45 acp on Gunbroker for $16) to use in your old Rock Chucker to see if it suits your needs. If you think you may later get a progressive, pick up a nice set of carbide dies that can also be used in your progressive.
I have been using a Dillon 550b for 20 years and find it handy for semi-auto ammunition where I can load up a bunch for a fun day at the range; a person can really crank out rounds pretty quickly. Good luck, Dennis |
I load on an old rock chucker. Have been for around 5 years.

I still load everything on a Rock Chucker II.
I'm thinking about getting a progressive primarily for .45, 308 and 30-06, but the single stage has served me just fine for over a decade. Grizz |
WTF,O!
I just graduated up to a Rock Chucker... I have to load em like I shoot em, one at a time. :D:outta: |

That was an experience, doing a hundred rounds on that thing. :banghead: I am still a rank novice at reloading but having fun. :) http://www.cotep.org/forum/picture.p...&pictureid=294 This one... |
Depends on how fast you plan on burning through the ammo....
