, good eye. The grip isn't chipped, but a smooth arc similar to the other side. What you are seeing is not on the frame but on the steel rail. It is the bonding material that binds that kevlar frame to the machined steel rail insert that outflowed between them and hardened on the steel. I really had not noticed it and just pulled the piece out and checked it. I will ask WC about it but it is not really noticeable and a non issue after the first scratches. The camera and the light from my lamp and flash really pop it. I'll let you know what they say. List on this gun is $2285 so finding this is a surprise.
