That is the exactly the correct question and it is way slower for me. I have worked with it and settled on a snap on mag holder that I carry weak side as primary back up. I had not considered mag changes prior to my first range trip where I discovered exactly what you immediately recognized, I am not Houdini. Not even Houdini's grandfather.
I do like the idea of the extra back-up but I had not planned it that way. I am fairly convinced that at my age it is not a good sign that I learn something new everyday.
