I am exhausted from similar at home rocket launchings of the 1.5" guide rod out of the reverse plug WC Spec-Ops 9. My first exposure, and I still like the appearance but so far the only things I have missed in the shop are my TV and Miss Penelope. I have been practicing every day to become proficient. So far I have one knuckle bunged up at the base of my right thumb from a direct hit at the range of about 1.6 inches and a giant red splotch on the back of my right hand where a ricochet off my bench vise wacked me. I think my problem is that the recoil spring is not only stronger than I am any more but evil to the core. I am wearing my safety glasses.
I think I have figured it out but I feel like the monkey and the football still.
MajO, want some fun? Try the butt end insertion of the spring and shorty guide rod. I could be wrong but it is like the pistol feels violated. I feel like the proctologist doing a colonoscopy on a wild cat without anesthesia. I wish you luck, sir.
