Um.....sort of. If you have a gun that is not a bbq gun, a working gun these coatings are the way to go. tough as all get out, don't need a lot of oil to keep it running, WAY cheaper than say a hard hat type finish. YES there is a place for a "high end" finish but the coated finishes are a good choice...
Yes I do appreciate a finely finished gun as much as the next guy. And No I would not coat any higher end gun either....
