I may be a little premature in the COTEP. My new DW stainless VBob is in the mail somewhere on it's way to me. I have several classic P series SIGs and like them because that's what I carried on (and off) my job prior to retirement six years ago.

I'm not unfamiliar with 1911's though. I have owned a S&W 1911, a Para and a Colt CCO. I just never was satisfied with them. I probably should have an old Colt because I carried a GI 1911 for 20 years as an Army CI Agent. (Pre-Beretta, as you can see by my age.) I have always preferred a 1911 at the range but have yet to find one to replace my SIG P220 for carry. I hope the DW will be the one. I already have a SSII left over from the CCO. I look forward to a lot of range time to see if this is the one. If so, I may pick up a full size 1911 for more range time.
