If you click "More" on the "smilies" list, you'll see them all. And you'll see what names, etc. will translate to a smilie.
A lot of the senior COTEP members have their names in smilies. Like a fighter pilot's "call sign," It's something you can't pick for yourself. It's something you're "given."
As you browse through the posts and see how folks interact, you'll see how they got their smilie.
Time will tell.
