Achtung, Achtung - I bought this Mauser HsC from a woman who I was helping to find prices on her husband's (deceased) gun collection.
From my research (and help from the Mauser Forum) I've learned its an early version, issued to the German Police. There is a "dirty bird" by the trigger guard; instead of the swastika it has the letter "L"
