Although they claim that there
"LDA" series of 1911s are a "Light Double Action" they are not a double action. By definition a double action pistol's trigger not only cocks the hammer, it also releases the hammer and does it all over again! Like a Single Action gun that relies on either the recoil of the slide to reset the hammer or its done by "racking the slide." What does the LDA do? It stages the trigger and allows fo a lighter trigger pull.
