First off, thanks for the support. I just reread my original message and realize it's a bit more dramatic than I intended. I'm not dying. I'm not even sick.
I've had lower back issues for years. I had surgery 3.5 years ago, and it's time for a tune up. We won't know the extent for a couple of weeks, but from past experience, I know that IF he does cut, I'm sidelined for a couple of months. I'm planning for the worst, getting everything done that I can. Then if he says, "quit whining and get back in the dungeon" I'll be ahead, we can take orders and be off to the races.
