Watch for sales on Colt mags on MidwayUSA, which are really Checkmate Hybrids branded by Colt. I stocked up when they were on sale for around $16. All my 1911s like them. It's the only mag that works reliably in my Series-80 (only Colt mags work in my Colt...go figure
)
It may be a while though. They only have 7 round stainless mags in stock right now, and the estimate for when they will get the 8 round mags in is next year some time.
