For two centuries, Marines have defended this nation. We've met interesting people around the world and promptly killed them. We have allowed the Navy to transport us across seas and oceans so we could do the actual fighting (and guarded their ships along the way so they didn't inadvertantly surrender them).
We went to countless countries, took ground from the enemy, and turned it over to the Army to build a PX and movie theater on. And we anxiously watched the skies to ensure the Air Force didn't drop something on us by accident or design.
