I was at a
roast that a bunch of old shipmates and I host annually down in Charleston SC last weekend. We raise money for the Semper Fi Fund for wounded Marines. About half of the crowd are Viet Nam era vets. I guess a couple hundred attend every year, and this year was our 42nd.
Great food and better company of shipmates from way back. Lots of stories and remembrances.
We try to keep the memory alive and to thank those who serve and have served.
Idiot that I am, I forgot to invite Cotep to the fun. Next year at Veterans Day, I will do so for any that can make it to Charleston.
