Hmmmm..... "my first and fourth amendment rights were violated in the SHELTER where I was staying."

oooooookkkkkk....... Future questions for officers to ask:

1. Is the shelter you were in a PUBLIC shelter? i.e., run by the city or state? If yes, then please call an attorney.

2. Is the shelter privately owned, or run as a Church or a Mission? Churches and private missions do not accept public funds (State or Federal). If so, then by signing in, and accepting the benefits of said facility, you agree to be compliant with all the rules of that organization. Short story: "If you don't like what we do, you don't have to stay here. you can sleep somewhere else." This includes metal detection, bag searches, not allowing coarse or obscene language. In fact.... it pretty much includes anything that the private organization chooses to state as it's "Policy". I know shelters that demand that all overnight guests wear (provided) scrubs. All other clothes and belongings are locked up overnight.

Also, see question one: If you don't like the rules....Call an attorney. The police enforce, not make or litigate law.

Just Sayin'.......
