Once the formula is known to some makers, I'd expect some to try to unlock the formula [ % of each ingredient ] by experimentation until through testing they are confident their steels are duplicating performance of the original steel.
I know some makers have experimented with making wootz but without the knowledge of this latest discovery of materials used. We may one day see wootz offered on high end custom blades. I'd be interested depending on the maker offering it.
