The oil smells like motor oil, because it probably is.

Go get a quart of Mobil1. I use the "High Mileage" 5W-30 because my DW has a lot of miles on it

Mobil1 is SOOOO much better than Rem Oil, I dumped out the Rem Oil and refilled the bottle with Mobil1.
